Since 1998, one kitchen and one charcoal pit

Xawaash House started as six tables under a corrugated roof off Lido Beach Road. The pit has not moved since. We grind our own xawaash every Saturday, buy the goat whole, and take the fish off the boats at Xamar Weyne before the market opens. Nothing is cooked before you order it. That is why the grills take twenty minutes, and why they are worth twenty minutes.
