Connect a domain you already own

Bought a domain elsewhere, GoDaddy, Namecheap, or anywhere else? Keep it where it is. You connect it to Abuur with two records, and your renewal stays with your current provider.

1. 1Open Domains in your dashboard and choose Connect a domain you own.
2. 2Type your exact domain, including the ending.
3. 3We show you two DNS settings to add. Copy them into the DNS management page of the company where you bought the domain, they call it DNS records or nameservers.
4. 4Save the records there, then come back to Abuur. We check automatically until the connection succeeds.

DNS changes travel slowly across the internet. Some domains connect within the hour; others take a day or two depending on your provider. This waiting is normal, nothing is broken.
